ERASMUS+ Blended Intensive Program on Cognitive Disorders
The University of Crete (main organizer), University of Coimbra, University of Valencia and Acibadem University organised the ERASMUS + Blended Intensive Course on Cognitive Disorders. CHAngeing partners University of Crete and University of Coimbra supported the collaboration through a quadruple helix perspective and explored the scientific links between Healthy Lifestyles supported by Mediterranean diet Culture and Brain Health.
The physical component of the course took place in Heraklion, May 5-9, 2025.
The Annual Retreat of EIT Health Ageing PhD School took place in Coimbra, December 4-7, 2023. This event enclosed close collaboration and synergies with CHAngeing partners, including students from University of Coimbra and University of Crete, and also lecturers from the University of Coimbra, FORTH and Instituto Pedro Nunes.

MAC2023; Mitochondria in Aging, Cancer and Cell Death
Nektarios Tavernarakis gave a lecture on MAC2023, in Coimbra, December 2nd 2023.
"Mitochondrial turnover in neurodegeneration and ageing". MAC2023 and CHAngeing synergies allowed the invitation of Prof. Nektarios Tavernarakis (University of Crete and FORTH) by MAC2023 organiser and CHAngeing member Prof. Paulo Oliveira (University of Coimbra).
CHAngeing project was introduced at the City of Longevity Conference, Newcastle, July 6th 2023, as part of the roadmap of the City of Coimbra (supported by Ageing@Coimbra excellence hub) to build healthy lifestyle assessment toolkit and disseminate good practices supporting healthy lifestyles inspired by the Mediterranean Diet Culture.
The CHAngeing Entrepreneurial programme is a 4-intensive week training designed to empower
participants with the essential skills, knowledge, and connections to thrive in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
